Celebrating Chicago’s Asian American Literary Community: A Zoom Reading

As part of Asian/Pacific American Heritage Month, Chicago Literary Hall of Fame Board Secretary Jane Hseu will host a showcase of Chicago's Asian American literary community. Kundiman Midwest and its facilitator Helene Achanzar will be participating, with Maggie Su reading from her new novel Blob. Banyan: Asian American Writers Collective's founder M.G. Bertulfo will speak about Banyan before Karen Su does a short reading. South Asia Institute will participate with co-founder Shireen Ahmad and a reading by Ignatius Valentine Aloysius. Viola Lee will also read. The event is free and open to the public, but registration is required.
