Gaylord and Dorothy Donnelley Foundation Awards Chicago Literary Hall of Fame Operational Grant
Monday, November 23, 2020
The board of the Gaylord and Dorothy Donnelley Foundation has approved a three-year grant to the Chicago Literary Hall Of Fame to support general operations. The Donnelley Foundation makes "multi-year, general operating grants to strengthen organizations because we trust that they know how to best focus their resources." In the Chicago Literary Hall of Fame's application, we highlighted our upcoming initiatives, including a series of creative writing workshops for high school students, a Chicago poetry anthology, a series of lifetime achievement award celebrations, an expanded induction ceremony, a virtual Chicago Classics reading, several online staged readings, a remote author series, and much more. The Donnelley Foundation strives to "sustain and build resilient, vital, engaged, and equitable communities" and of course that is CLHOF's mission, as well.
