POSTPONED: RESCHEDULED DATE TO BE ANNOUNCED
435 Michigan Ave.
Chicago, IL 60611
For nearly a century and a half, Chicago has been the setting for important literary works and the setting that enables authors to get that work done. On this four-hour bus tour, which includes stops for refreshments at Billy Goat Tavern, Jimmy's Woodlawn Tap, and Valois Restaurant, we will sample some of the historical markers associated with our most beloved writers and books. You'll get a chance to visit the sites of Ernest Hemingway's last Chicago apartment, the former Playboy mansion, the courthouse that served as the model for much of Ben Hecht's The Front Page, the Lorraine Hansberry House, the Gwendolyn Brooks statue, the site of L. Frank Baum's former home, statues of Dorothy and gang, and so much more.
